The role of the Psychogeriatric Resource Consulting (PgRC) Service for Durham Region is to enhance and co-ordinate supports for long term care facilities and community agencies. The aim is the development of expertise in the care and management of older clients with complex and serious mental health needs and their associated challenging behaviours. The Psychogeriatric Resource Counsulting Service is run in partnership with Whitby Mental Health Centre's Seniors Mental Health Program.
